Uh... Oops

I did not intend to go for so long without posting. A lot of it has been dealing with the changes of living in a new place. A lot of it has been trying and failing to find a new job. A lot of it has been dealing with this fuck-ass country’s changes. I’m fucking tired.

But moving back to the Pacific Northwest has been nice. St. Louis will always be in my blood, but the PNW feels like home. The fact that I live in a walkable place now makes a huge difference. I get out and walk places every day, just because I can. I ride the light rail almost every day, because it’s half a block from where I live. I drive as little as possible. In the evening, it’s nice out, and I go for walks, just because I can.

I’m getting out and being social too. I found a zine group, and hang out with them almost weekly. We have a local queer meet up group, and it’s always wonderful to see them. We’re going to shows and events, and seeing live music. It feels good.

We miss our little gay coffee house back in St. Louis. I miss that place and its people a lot. We’d bring them here if we could.

I started a comic, finally! I kept trying to make something big and profound and beautiful, and I think I’m not smart enough to pull that off. But what I can do is make a little four to six panel comic about my witch characters doing silly witch things. It’s called WTCH. One day, people woke up to a world where the paranormal was very real and very suddenly out in the open. People who had magic powers before could now practice openly. Magic became a profession. And people had to reconcile that their world was forever different.

And then some asshole came along and made a gig economy app about it.

The comics are functional, not my best art, but the goal wasn’t to make something pretty, it was to finish something. At first, it was just 10 comics, and if I couldn’t do more than that I could put them in a zine and sell them. Then it was 20. I’m working on hitting 30 comics now. I’m having a blast showing the world my weird children.

You can find the comic here, on my NeoCities page, or on it’s own tumblr. It updates every Monday.

Still looking for a job. It turns out I’m competing with every tech working that got laid off in the last year. So like, I don’t even know.

Anyway, see you in six months lol
